Daghestan celebrates Constitution Day

Makhachkala, July 26, 2014. On Constitution Day, July 26, the open-air summer platform of Dagestan State Philharmonic hosted a gala concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the basic legislative act of the republic.

It should be noted that in December 2013 the country has widely celebrated the 20th anniversary of its basic law - the Constitution of the Russian Federation on the basis of which on 26 July, 1994 the Constitutional Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan adopted the republican Constitution.

Speaking at the opening concert, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov pointed out that the Constitution Day is a kind of holiday for the peoples of Dagestan.

As to the head of the republic, the work on formation of the Constitution RD started concurrently with the development of the Constitution RF. Following the popular endorsement of the Russian Federation Constitution, the republican leadership drafted the Constitution RD based on the principles enshrined in the federal Constitution. Ramazan Abdulatipov also emphasized that the Constitution drafters took into account all the characteristic principles of the republic: its multinational and historical unity.

After the anthems of Russia and Dagestan, a saturated concert program started. The State Symphonic Orchestra taxiway Symphony Orchestra Opera and Ballet Theatre, the State vocal and choreographic ensemble "Dagestan", the State Academic Dance Ensemble of Dagestan "Lezghinka", the choreographic ensemble "Kaspiy", the ensemble "Youth of Dagestan" performed on the stage.

The concert comperes in their speeches spoke on the multinational Dagestan, the equal rights of all te peoples of the region before the law, the preservation and development of indigenous cultures of peoples, the childhood and motherhood protected by the law, the youth and its future, the Year of Culture, the synthesis of cultures and the common cultural space. 

The evening ended with the song "The Oath" performed by the Combined chorus and orchestra RD and the fireworks.
