A satellite network is being set up in Dagestan to provide high-speed internet access to remote mountainous areas. Funding for this project is expected to come from a new national initiative called "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State". The project aims to improve internet connectivity in the region, which currently covers more than 90% of households in Dagestan.
