Experts from the travel service "Tutu" have compiled a list of the best mountainous regions in Russia for autumn recreation. The Republic of Dagestan made it into the top 10.

According to experts, autumn is an excellent time for mountain tourism as it allows tourists to combine hiking with other activities. In Dagestan, tourists can enjoy favorable weather, learn about the region's ancient history and culture as well as try local gastronomic specialties.

One of the most notable attractions in Dagestan is Mount Bazarduzu, the highest peak in the republic, located on the border with Azerbaijan. Tourists can choose from a variety of accommodation options, including glamping sites, hotels and campgrounds, to suit their needs.
