The team of scientists from Dagestan has made a remarkable discovery in the mountains of the Eastern Caucasus, unveiling a hitherto unknown glacier that they have proposed to name Charchar. This glacial formation, discovered during an expedition, is situated in a remote region of the East Caucasian mountain range.
Using drones equipped with advanced thermal imaging capabilities, the researchers conducted a comprehensive survey, encompassing the exploration of both the Shalbuzdag and Bazarduzu glaciers. This meticulous investigation ultimately resulted in the identification of the newly discovered site.
