As to the analysts of the Russian online recruitment platform hh.ru, in January-September 2024 the number of vacancies in the tourism, hotel and restaurant sectors of Dagestan increased by 11% compared to the same period last year.

Overall, more than 500 thousand jobs in this sector were posted in Russia for the first nine months of 2024, an increase of 26% from a year ago. At the same time, the hospitality labour market in Dagestan is characterized by an oversupply of workers - there are 12.1 CVs for each vacancy in the republic, compared to 3.5 in the country overall.

The most sought-after positions in Dagestan are cooks, waiters, bartenders, restaurant managers and cleaners. The average salary offered in these positions has increased by 20% since last year and stands at RUB 44.7 thousand.
