The affordability of purchasing and maintaining a new automobile has been assessed across Russia's various regions.
Based on this assessment, it is revealed that only 2.9% of families in Dagestan are able to afford a new vehicle costing RUB 1.2 million, while fewer than 1% are capable of acquiring a car priced at RUB 2.9 million. This places the republic at the lower position of the ranking. Conversely, the northern regions, characterized by higher income levels, emerge as leaders.
On the national level, the average figure is 17.6%, indicating that 17.6% of families can afford to purchase a new car priced at RUB 1.2 million.
It is worth noting that the results of this assessment indicate a decline in the affordability of automobiles for Russian households this year, primarily due to increasing vehicle prices and the rise in interest rates on loans.
