The Government of the Republic of Dagestan has allocated another 15 million rubles to pay the costs associated with the organization of accommodation and food for Palestinian refugees who were forced to leave their native land - the Gaza Strip. They are currently staying in a temporary accommodation center on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan.

In November 2023, the regional government had allocated 8.2 million rubles to organize accommodation for Palestinian citizens. At the same time, by initiative of Dagestani Head Sergei Melikov, the refugees are taught Russian language to help them find job.

At the moment, 157 people from the Gaza Strip, including 75 adults and 82 children, live in the temporary accommodation center in Makhachkala. These funds will be used to create conditions for comfortable accommodation and food.
