The total volume of mortgage debt owed by the local residents in Dagestan has surpassed RUB 3 billion by the beginning of 2025, the debt collection agency «Debt Consultant» reports. According to the analysis, this figure hardly reached RUB 520 million in 2023, while by 2024 it increased to RUB 1,010 billion — a twofold increase compared to the previous year.

The overall mortgage portfolio in Dagestan amounts to approx. RUB 125 billion with a share of delinquent mortgage loans accounting for 2.43% of the entire portfolio. Experts attribute this situation to the negative impact of economic factors, including the acceleration of inflation, which have contributed to the rise in debt.
