The first championship of Dagestan in coastal rowing will be held on August 10 on the central beach of Makhachkala, Magomedemin Gadzhiev, president of the regional Rowing Federation says.

"Our competitions will be held as part of celebration of the All-Russian Day of Physical Culture Workers. This is the first championship and the republic in coastal rowing and we expect about 50 rowers to take part: men, women, juniors and youngsters" - Gadzhiev explained.

The competition program includes races over distances of 1,000 and 2,000 meters. The top performers will be selected to join the first national team from Dagestan, which will compete in the Russian national championship in October 2024.
