Dagestan army hand-to-hand combat team won six medals at the All-Russia Tournament in memory of the Hero of Russia V. Popov, commander of the Terek Cossack Battalion, held in Nevinnomyssk.

The team comprised the winners of Dagestan championship of pre-conscription youth, dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War veteran and statesman Asadula Cheerov.

Zaur Nasirkhanov and Abubakr Abdullayev won gold medals at the tournament in Stavropol Territory. Iman Bamatov and Said Akhmedov won silver medals, while Magomed Zakuyev and Magomed Magomedov took bronze.
