The total area under melons in Dagestan in 2024 will grow by 18.8%, the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports. The other 8.2 thousand hectares are planned to be allocated for these crops. Besides, this year, the area under vegetables will slightly grow by approx. 1.7% (making in total almost 42 thousand hectares). But the area under potatoes will grow by 2.1% - up to 19.5 thousand hectares.
