Azerbaijani company to grow olives and peaches in Dagestan

Representatives of Azerbaijan-based company ISFA and Dagestan branch of Rosselkhozcenter (Federal State Budgetary Institution «Russian agricultural center») have entered into a cooperation agreement, which envisages the involvement of Azerbaijani agricultural producers in the establishment of a new fruit nursery and orchard on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia.
According to a statement issued by the Rosselkhozcenter's press service in Dagestan, the new orchard will cover an area of 53 hectares in Dagestan and will cultivate alcha, nectarine, cherry, peach and olive trees. The Rosselkhozcenter is set to provide certification services for the cultivation of seedlings, with a particular focus on cherry seedlings, in the development of nursery.
