Azerbaijani importers shared ideas about business in Dagestan
Dagestan Export Support Centre hosted a press conference with the representatives of distribution companies from Azerbaijan. Opening the event, director of DESC Ruslan Abaskuliyev said that the volume of exports between Azerbaijan and Dagestan reached $8 million in 2021. According to his forecasts, the figures are expected to grow this year.
Abaskuliyev noted that the republic mainly exports fish (frozen, smoked), juices, some types of fruits, vegetables and mutton. "Besides, at the recent international exhibition, Azerbaijani and other companies could appreciate Dagestani electrical products, as well as mobile heating systems and fiberglass" – the top official said.
The guests confessed that Dagestani goods were very much in demand in the market because of their high quality and affordable prices. As noted, Azerbaijanis take interest in the food sphere (supplies of juices, meat, etc.), knives and shoes, as well as some construction materials and electrical goods.
The participants of the press conference expressed hope that the announced strengthening of ties between Dagestan and Azerbaijan will only increase the volume of supplies and reduce transportation costs.
