Experts observe an increase in the volume of preferential loans given in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan reports. Since 2017, Russian authorities introduced new rules for the citizens to get short-term and investment loans at an interest rate no higher than 5% per year.

According to the Ministry, the total amount of funds received by farmers in the republic reached RUB 4.456 billion. In 2023, banks approved soft loans worth more than RUB 3.2 billion for the regional farmers. By way of comparison, in 2022 soft loans worth RUB 1.2 billion were approved and only RUB 56.9 million in 2021.
