According to results of 8 months of 2024, Dagestan agrarians have produced 630 thousand tons of milk. In comparison with the same period of 2023, the indicator has increased by almost 3%. By this indicator Dagestan becomes the absolute leader in the North Caucasian Federal District. The second place is occupied by Stavropol Krai with 388 thousand tons of milk.  

At the same time, Dagestan has surpassed Stavropol in meat production. For 8 months cattle breeders of Dagestan produced 91 thousand tons of meat, against 360 thousand tons in Stavropol Krai.  

Dagestan also became the second in the North Caucasian Federal District in the segment of egg production - 151 million eggs. The leader is again Stavropol Krai - almost 648 million pieces.  Ingushetia has the lowest production of milk, meat and eggs across the federal district.
