Dagestan plans to increase supplies of products to Islamic countries

Dagestan plans to expand its exports of agricultural products to Muslim-majority countries with high demand for lamb. At the XV International Economic Forum "Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum", the prime minister of Dagestan, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, highlighted the significant interest in Dagestan's products, including tomatoes and meat. The region already has a Halal certification system in place, which facilitates exportation. Dagestan also intends to export rice and fish. Its main trading partners are Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
