In 9 months of 2023, the railroad cargo transshipment amounted to more than 1 million tons in the republic of Dagestan. According to North Caucasian Railway, this is 5.4% more than in January-September of 2022.

In the first nine months of 2023 the company handled: 707,000 tons of construction cargo (2.4% less than in January-September last year); milling products - 103 thousand tons (almost twice as much); industrial consumer goods - over 39 thousand tons (-9.1%); ferrous metal scrap - 19.1 thousand tons (2.1 times more); grain - 17 thousand tons (6.6 times more); fruits and vegetables - 10.5 thousand tons (almost 4 times more).
