The municipal authorities of Makhachkala intend to replace more than 1 thousand worn-out garbage containers in 2024, the deputy mayor, the head of the Housing and Utilities Department Islam Zakaryaev says.

According to the official, approximately 2,500 fr om over 6,000 containers will be replaced. The work will be continued on those streets wh ere replacement of containers is most necessary. The wear and tear of metal waste collection containers is often caused by oversize garbage and construction debris, which deform containers during loading into specialized vehicles and make them unrestorable.
