Since the beginning of 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor Department across the Republic of Dagestan (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision) has inspected more than 406,000 tons of grain for export to the Islamic Republic of Iran through the commercial port of Makhachkala. A total of 150 shipments were checked, with the cargo arriving at the port via road from neighboring regions such as Kabardino-Balkaria and the Stavropol Territory.
