The number of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Dagestan increased by 1.1 thousand in April-May. At the end of March there were 55,682 SMEs, and in May this number increased to 56,774. The majority of this growth occurred in the segment of small enterprises and individual entrepreneurs. By comparison, Stavropol Krai, which has 400 thousand fewer residents than Dagestan, has almost twice as many SMEs - 101.8 thousand.
