For half a year, 735 thousand people in Dagestan used suburban railways. According to Northern Caucasus Railway, a branch of JSC "Russian Railways", this number has increased by 6% compared to the same period last year.

Krasnodar region was the leader in suburban traffic in Northern Caucasus in the first half of 2023. In January-June, 9.3 million people from Kuban region used suburban trains for transportation.

The second place is occupied by Rostov region with 4.9 million passengers (an increase of 8%). Stavropol Territory comes third with a 5% up (3.1 million passengers).
