Dagestan Ethnographic Aul Complex in Makhachkala has unveiled an exhibition dedicated to the iconic women's headscarf, a symbol of Dagestani culture. The exhibition features over a hundred unique artifacts from the local collections, showcasing the richness and diversity of Dagestanian traditions.
The exhibition, titled "The Hot Woman's Headscarf," serves as a tribute to this iconic piece of clothing and its significance in the cultural heritage of Dagestan. It aims to promote folk traditions and raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
Zumrud Suleymanova, the head of the Ethnographic Complex, emphasizes the significance of the Gorka shawl, stating that it embodies the essence of Dagestani identity, bridging the past with the present.
Apart from the exhibition, workshops on folk crafts and painting, as well as a fashion show are held. The exhibition is scheduled to run until December 15, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty and depth of Dagestanian culture.
