Over 300 students submitted 70 innovative projects to an expert jury during the semi-finals of accelerator program by Dagestan State University. The event aligns with the goals of the national initiative «Science and Universities».
Remarkably, a substantial number of projects in this year's competition focuses on the development of advanced water treatment technologies. Additionally, there were presentations on projects related to artificial intelligence and financial literacy. «We are delighted to observe a surge in both the number of participants and the quality of their submissions», Vali Arsanaliev, one of the accelerator program experts says.
The participants showcased a wide array of projects, ranging from the development of a muscular memory simulator to the creation of a hydrogen-generating electrolyzer. The submitted projects were assessed based on three critical criteria: the pertinence of the proposed idea, the scientific and technological innovation of the product and the feasibility of achieving the desired results.
Accelerators serve as catalysts for the rapid acquisition of knowledge, enabling specialized research and contributing to the formulation of fundamental management principles. The importance of a practical approach in project development is underscored by experts, who also emphasize the necessity of engaging external investors and sponsors to bring these projects to successful completion.
The overarching goal of the "Science and Universities" national project is to position Russia as a frontrunner in pivotal research domains on the global stage. We are creating an environment that will make it an attractive proposition for scientists to live and work in our country. Additionally, we strive to raise public awareness of scientific endeavors in order to encourage young individuals to pursue careers in this field. A program has been initiated with the objective of establishing a network of modern campuses. Researchers are provided with cutting-edge equipment and infrastructure, including distinctive “mega-sciences” class facilities and new scientific vessels. Universities, research institutions, and businesses are encouraged to participate in collaborative projects, which enable the accelerated and effective implementation of groundbreaking discoveries for the advancement of the country.
