Approx. 16 billion rubles will be allocated from the republican budget for repair and maintenance of highways in 2024, the regional Ministry of Transport and Roads reported. At the same time, in 2023, 14.7 billion rubles was allocated from the regional budget for these purposes (another 2.9 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget).

In 2024, it is planned to repair and develop highways to the tourist locations, as well as in several remote mountainous areas. For example, in the city of Derbent it is planned to complete the construction of a highway that leads to the new city embankment. This road will become an additional separate entrance to the city.
