Russian language teachers from all over Russia to be summoned to Dagestan – Ramazan Abdulatipov

Makhachkala, March 24, 2015. Russian is in fact the national language of Dagestani peoples, therefore, it’s hard to overestimate the value of studying it, Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov said at the Forum of Russian Language and Literature recently held in Stavropol.
"It is critical to nurture the love of the Russian language and literature. Russian is the national language of the people of Dagestan. Knowledge of the Russian language helps us achieve great things. We need to work to assist people smoothly proceed from one language to another. I was taught by Russian teachers from different regions of Russia, they would come to Dagestan’s mountain areas to teach children the Russian language. For us, they were someone holy!" enlarged Abdulatipov.
Dagestan Head recalled that 15 years ago a monument to the first teacher was established in the republic, and this experience should be an example to follow.
They also plan to summon graduate teachers from teacher training universities and colleges from all over Russia to improve teaching Russian in schools, Abdulatipov informed, "In October, Dagestan will host the Congress of Russian Language Teachers from all Russian regions that will be attended by more than 1,000 teachers."
