Dagestan wrestler Ruslan Yusupov wins silver in Europe

Makhachkala, April 3, 2017. Ruslan Yusupov has taken the second place in the European Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling among athletes aged up to 23 years. The sport event took place in Hungary on April 1-2, the press service of Dagestan Wrestling Federation reports.

In the final day of the European Youth Wrestling Championship, the sportsmen fought for medals in four weight categories.

Dagestani Ruslan Yusupov in the weight category up to 85 kg obtained the silver medal of the Russian national team. By the way, Yusupov lives and trains in Rostov-on-Don.

Having reached the final, Ruslan Yusupov lost to the Swedish wrestler Christopher Berg. The winner of the Olympic Games of last year Denis Kudla from Germany and the two-time European champion among the youth, Lasha Gobadze from Georgia became the bronze-medal holders.
