Zemfira Magomedalieva wins international women's boxing tournament in Istanbul

Istanbul, 16 September /RIA "Dagestan"/ Daghestani Zemfira Magomedalieva secured a landslide victory at an international women's boxing tournament taking place September 14-15 in Istanbul, Turkey, her coach Sokhrab Manapov said in an interview with RIA "Dagestan".
The 29th «Ahmet» COMERT international tournament (class "A») brought together about 200 athletes from 20 countries. In the 81 kg weight final, Daghestani Zemfira Magomedalieva defeated a host athlete – Turkish and European champion Alice Guneri – by referees’ unanimous decision.
For Magomedalieva, the tournament was part of preparations for the world championship scheduled to run 13-26 November in South Korea. "Zemfira is the leader of the Russian team in her weight, so she is sure to take part in the upcoming world championship. Before flying to South Korea, the Russian team will be staffed basing on the results of the Russian tournament scheduled for October 4 in the city of Chelyabinsk," Manapov informed.
