The specialists of Dagenergo, a subsidiary of Rosseti Northern-Caucasus, have repaired 874 6-10/0.4 kilovolt substations in 2024. The comprehensive technical measures included in the maintenance program are aimed at increasing the reliability of electricity supply to residential and industrial consumers, as well as critical facilities in urban and rural areas of the republic.

These measures encompass the replacement of deteriorated transformers, enclosures, obsolete protective and automatic systems, power supplies, grounding and lightning protection systems.

Transformer substations constitute a crucial component of the electric power system, enabling the transmission of electricity over extended distances, reducing technical losses along transmission lines and ensuring an equitable distribution of resources among consumers. Noteworthy, the Russian Grids, operating in the North Caucasian region, has earmarked over RUB 1.6 billion for the implementation of a comprehensive repair campaign in Dagestan during 2024.
