A facility for the production of up to 30 million eggs per year will soon be launched In Dagestan. The "Batyr-Demir" LLC intends to implement the project worth RUB 1 billion 321 million.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Dagestan, the implementation of the project started in 2023. Its completion is scheduled in the second quarter of 2025. The company has been breeding poultry and producing eggs in Khasavyurtovsky district since 2023.

According to Rosstat, the eggs in Dagestan rose in price by 27% this year, while in Russia as a whole the cost of a dozen eggs rose by 36.54% over the year.

As reported by mass media, five regions of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasian Federal District have been included in the top 10 regions of Russia in terms of price growth for eggs. Among them are the Rostov Region, Crimea, Sevastopol, Chechnya and Kabardino-Balkaria.
