Trout production in Dagestan is expected to grow by 45.4% in 2024. In particular, 412.5 tons of trout were produced in 2023. This figure may increase up to 600 tons in 2024, according to the Republican Fisheries Committee. The increase is planned to be achieved through the construction of new trout farms, including in the mountainous areas of Dagestan. There are currently about two dozen trout farms operating in the region.
