The rise in interest rates and the profitability of bank deposits has had a significant impact on the indicators of population's savings in banks in Dagestan. According to the data provided by the Central Bank of Russia, by the end of 2024, the aggregate amount of deposits held by residents of Dagestan increased by RUB 1.123 billion, amounting to a total of over RUB 138 billion rubles.

Among the constituent entities of the North Caucasian Federal District, Stavropol continues to lead in terms of deposit volume, with a figure of RUB 469.6 billion. Despite this, there has been a slight decrease in the activity of local residents in terms of withdrawing funds from deposits, resulting in a decrease of RUB 500 million by the end of November 2024.

The largest deposit volumes across Russia are concentrated among residents of megacities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow region and Tatarstan.
