Museums of Dagestan will participate in the all-Russian project "Museum Routes of Russia". Now the republic is experiencing a real museum boom. There are about 200 museum institutions in the region, and all of them are in demand among visitors.

Dagestan museum workers will participate in the project "Museum Routes of Russia" in the coming year.

"For Dagestan, the participation in the project means expansion of ties in Russia’s museum community, creation of favorable conditions for promotion of museum business and popularization of huge unique layers of cultural and historical heritage of the region"- the press service of the republican Ministry of Culture comments.

At the moment there are about two hundred museum institutions in Dagestan. The republican authorities hope that participation in the project will give local museum workers an impetus for further development, as well as improve their skills in presenting museum collections.
