A delegation from Saudi Arabia led by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs Tawfiq Fawzan Al Rabia has arrived in Dagestan today, September 5.

During a meeting, Dagestani Head Sergei Melikov and the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq Fawzan Al Rabia considered an issue of opening a direct air route between Makhachkala and Jeddah. As to Melikov, such a decision will contribute to further cooperation between Dagestan and Saudi Arabia in the sphere of economy, culture, spiritual development and tourism.

The management of Makhachkala international airport has already signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi airline.
