Kaspiysk has consolidated its position in the updated ranking of Dagestani cities with the most hospitable environment. In 2024, the city scored a remarkable 235 points, firmly establishing itself as the leader in terms of living comfort. Derbent and Kizlyar were also in the top three, scoring 233 points each. The republic's capital, Makhachkala, came fourth with 228 points.

The ranking is based on a meticulous evaluation of 36 parameters divided into six different areas: the quality of housing and urban amenities, the state of roads and transport infrastructure, the preservation of natural landscapes and environmental sustainability, the development of public spaces, the accessibility of social and commercial infrastructure, and the overall comfort of the urban environment. Within this framework, the maximum possible score is 360 points.

Notably, in 2019 the Russian Ministry of Construction recognized Kaspiysk as the best city in Dagestan for its exceptional urban environment, securing its place in the esteemed list of 299 top cities across Russia.
