Ships and military units of Caspian flotilla put on alarm

Makhachkala, July 4, 2017. The battleships and military units of the Caspian flotilla have been put on high alert. The Flotilla Commander counter Admiral Sergei Pinchuk checked the operational readiness by initiating the regular military exercises. “About 1,000 servicemen, more than 10 warships and support vessels, as well as about 150 units of combat and special equipment have participated in the maneuvers" - the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
The Caspian Marine flotilla battalions stationed in Astrakhan region and the Republic of Dagestan have been raised on alarm and proceeded to carry out combat training tasks. The crews of the ships worked out emergency preparations for ships to go to sea and the use of weapons, conducted shipboard exercises on air defense and camouflage of the basing points.
