The XII International Interreligious Youth Forum, focused on addressing the spread of terrorist ideology, commenced at the Kaspiy Sanatorium. Running from September 21st to 25th, the forum's agenda encompasses diverse activities including thematic discussions, engagements with prominent political and public figures, practical workshops, educational platforms and legal knowledge Olympiads specifically tailored to counteracting terrorism.

A key highlight of the forum is the annual All-Russian scientific and practical conference dedicated to formulating strategies for preventing the ideology of terrorism.  Attendees also have an opportunity to explore an exhibition showcasing artifacts from three major faiths: Islam, Christianity and Judaism. The exhibition features sacred texts, architectural models of religious structures, and examples of religious art, such as icons, paintings and graphic works.

Established as a prominent hub for interreligious and intercultural dialogue, the region has attracted experts from various regions within Russia, alongside participants from Serbia, Georgia, Iran and other countries. The importance of such gatherings was emphasized by forum attendees. Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent delivered a welcoming address, recounting President Vladimir Putin's reception of a Koran during his visit to Derbent.
