Doctors of the Republican Center for Family Health and Reproduction in Dagestan reminded the region residents about the importance of cancer prevention urged to regularly undergo cancer prevention exams.

Recall two sisters diagnosed with "failure to conceive" were examined at the Center. During the examination a cervical neoplasm was found in one of the sisters. Further examinations confirmed the dangerous diagnosis of squamous cell adenocarcinoma.

"This case extremely emphasizes the importance of regular preventive examinations and visits to doctors for all women. The residents of Dagestan have access to modern methods of diagnosing cancer at early stages, when the chances of recovery are maximized. The city and district clinics of the republic grant an opportunity to undergo free research by the method of "liquid cytology" or PAP-test, which is considered the most reliable method of diagnosing cervical cancer", - the republican Public Health Ministry reports.
