The delegation, led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Russia and Belarus, Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, visited Dagestan State University. The guests from Indonesia also shared their impressions of Dagestan and Russia and noted that they were eager to cooperate with Russian universities.
"We always consider Russia to be a source of knowledge. We have signed approximately 140 memorandums and now there are 600 Indonesian students studying in Russia in various fields. I believe this number will continue to grow. These students are studying a wide range of subjects, including artificial intelligence and nuclear energy. We will strive to continue this trend" - Tavares said.
The Dean of the International Education Faculty at DSU, Zapir Alkhazov, spoke about the university's rich experience in educating international students.
After that, the guests were given a tour of the Historical and Ethnographic Museum of DSU. They were shown collections of artifacts collected by students during archaeological excavations.
