Dagestan signs cooperation agreement with WorldSkills Russia

Makhachkala, December 16, 2015. The delegation of the Republic of Dagestan has taken part in a meeting on the development of the “Worldskills Russia” movement across the North Caucasus Federal District, which took place December 15 in the town of Essentuki.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister for Affairs of the Northern Caucasus Mikhail Razvozhaev, a source in the Republican Youth Employment Center "Success" of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development informs.
The meeting participants considered priorities for the execution of orders given by the President of the Russian Federation, aimed at improving the system of vocational education, the development of “Worldskills Russia” movement, the Worldskills standards in regional and national championship, etc.
During the meeting, a cooperation agreement between the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Union “Worldskills Russia” was signed.
The deputy Prime Minister RD Arthur Sibekov signed the agreement from part of the Republic of Dagestan.
Dagestan delegation also included the Minister of Education and Science Shahabas Shakhov, the acting Minister of Labour and Social Development Musalan Tahmanov and the director of the National Youth Employment Center "Success", the Technical Delegate of Worldskills Russia across the republic Zaur Omarov

Zaur Omarov signed an agreement on associated membership in the status of Director of the Regional Coordination Centre. According to the "road map" in 2016 in the Republic of Dagestan it is planned to create specialized centers of competence on the basis of existing educational institutions and to prepare experts according to Worldskills standards.
“In April, for the first time Dagestan will host the regional championship on professional skill under Worldskills standards among colleges students and the young specialists of the professionals enterprises.
The competitive element included into the project, will help to stimulate interest in trades among youth, to motivate them to develop a more conscious attitude to their own work and to discover new employment opportunities for the young professionals in Dagestan.
In 2017, it is planned to hold semi-finals of the WorldSkills championship among the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District. We need to make every effort to implement the plan, since it is impossible to overestimate the positive effect that an event of this magnitude would have on the image and prestige of our region and its appeal to different kinds of investors” – Omarov said.
