Makhachkala, September 19, 2015. "The city of Derbent has fully prepared for the anniversary. Before the holiday we set the task that we have successfully completed,"- the head of administration of the city of Derbent Azadi Ragimov said at the press conference on the eve of the Day to celebrate the 2000 anniversary of the city.
The deputy head of the press service of Dagestani Head and government administration Yuri Gamzatov, the deputy Minister of Youth Affair RD Anna Bezrukova and other officials attended the meeting with journalists.
According to Azadi Ragimov, a lot of work in preparation for Derbent’s anniversary was done by the support of sponsors, regions and cities of the republic.
"We want to make the city more beautiful and better in time. At the same time, I would like to note that the city has much more problems. All questions we will solve within the framework of the work scheduled till 2018.
I would like to express my gratitude to the youth of the republic, who helped us in every possible way and held voluntary Saturday works. As for the representatives of country’s leadership at the celebration, I can confirm the participation of Deputy Prime Minister RF Alexander Khloponin in the celebration. A great gala concert will take place and then the guests and particpants of the festive event will enjoy the colorful fireworks"- Azadi Ragimov added.
The deputy Minister for Affairs of Youth RD Anna Bezrukova told about the work of volunteers within the framework of the anniversary. Bezrukova noted that the volunteer corps consisted of 1100 young people.
"The guys did a lot; they have been participating since February 2015 almost till the present day. Besides, the volunteers will assist in patrolling the city and organizing the holiday, medical care, information support and accompanying the numerous guests around the city acting as the guides" - Bezrukova said.
As it is reported free-of-charge electric trains run from Makhchkala to deliver guests to Derbent. Let us remind that Dagestan celebrates today, September 19, the 2000-year anniversary of the city of Derbent.
