A delegation from Al-Kut University, located in the Republic of Iraq, paid a visit to Dagestan State University. The delegation comprised Al-Obaidi Nadir Jassim Mohammed, the Cultural and Educational Attaché at the Embassy of Iraq in the Russian Federation; Al-Maqssosi Talib Zaidan Taban, the Chairman of the Board of Directors; Khalaf Mutana Hamid Khalaf, the Director of International Relations; and Al-Rubaie Faris Mahdi Alwan, the General Director of the Private Education Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq.
Murtazali Rabadanov, the Rector of DSU, provided the guests with an overview of university and its global initiatives.
During the meeting, the participants explored the potential for inter-institutional collaboration, encompassing educational, scholarly, social and cultural endeavors, including the prospect of student exchange programs. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DSU and Al-Kut University, paving the way for a myriad of opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions in the realm of academia and research.
In his remarks, Al-Maqssosi Talib Zaidan Taban expressed his delight at the opportunity to engage in the initial agreement with DSU and expressed hope that this collaboration would serve as a bridge between Iraq and Dagestan, fostering deeper connections and understanding between the two regions.
