Specialists of Dagenergo branch are engaged in modernization of the 110 kV substation in Makhachkala. A new transformer with a capacity of 40 MVA is being commissioned to replace one of the existing two transformers with a capacity of 25 MVA. This upgrade will increase the overall capacity of the substation by 15 MVA, thereby enhancing the quality of electricity supply to several districts in the capital of Dagestan, including Pervaya Makhachkala and Uchkhoz.

The installation of the 40 MVA transformer is scheduled for the next week. The process will take several days to complete. To prevent overloading of equipment, power engineers have decided to temporarily restrict electricity supply in certain areas of Makhachkala, which will be communicated separately. The renovation of Makhachkala 110 substation is part of an ongoing initiative is aimed at improving the reliability of the regional power grid infrastructure.
